But the main reason I don't like him is that he's boring. Outside of the first chapter with Koichi he's just a goody two shoes who does nothing wrong. He has built in flaws with growing up without knowing who his real father was and everything, and yet he never confronts them. Just a boring JoJo imo.

It's an overused excuse but the translations really do fuck his character up a good deal.
Giorno's big thing was being in control of the situation and relying on himself, and I think he learns to work with and even rely on others a lot more as the part unfolds.
Take White Album, he loses control of the situation, panics, and nearly gets himself and Mista killed because of it.
Compare that to Green Day where it's a joint effort from Mista and Girono to take down Ciciccococopuffs, he shows a lot more teamwork.
Agree that there should've been more internal conflict, especially over his Jonathan/DIO heritage.

I'm honestly completely ok with that. I like how divorced Part 5 was from the other parts. It also wouldn't make any sense for him to feel an inner conflict between his Joestar/Brando heritage, since he doesn't have any clue who any of the Joestars are and the only thing he knows about Dio is that he's his dad.
Giorno's only character development comes in the White Album fight, where he learns to let others handle things from time to time instead of going full retard as soon as he doesn't have all of the answers.
He's still the worst Jojo though. Bruno does everything better than Giorno and is a lot more interesting to read about to boot.
