Well the raws were pretty clear, I wouldn't want to work with messy raws that requires a lot of cleaning/reworking (only example I can think of now is Boku Girl).
Most raws on EX are pretty good so cleaning is easy. And I (not sure others) don't mess up with levels too much, only enough to make black look black and white look white.
