I always seem to conveniently wake up a moment before severe pain would have kicked in. I've had a dream where I've 'woken up' into another dream a few times before though. That sense of being trapped in an unknown reality and 'loading to a save point' against your own control can be a truly horrifying experience so it's something I can really empathise with Subaru about.

Well I'd certainly be taking it a lot more seriously and being much more cautious than what he's being. Although there seems to be too many unknown variables to the point it would be hard to build a solid plan around unless, like him, you just die over and over again until you figure it out. Honestly though it feels like he just makes things much worse by putting himself in these bad situations by associating with dangerous people.
