What is the best shonen series, and why is it Toriko?
If you said this maybe two years ago you might have a case. But not with how Toriko is now.

Cooking festival was literally better than most of the OP arcs and the only one I'd day that competes with it is Sabaody.
I'd probably still give it to cooking festival since the art and gore was a lot more enjoyable.

Toriko is missing so much, of course it never sold well. But now at least it has the distinction of being the most bat-shit insane power creeping rushed manga out there which makes it interesting and enjoyable.
