As I said, I think that the crack shipping will always go on though. It's not really something you can stop because even if you make one go away another will eventually take its place. If your goal is to improve the fandom, then you ought to opt for something that actually makes a difference, like what you use to do with scanlations before you started having these issues with shipping. It may not help with the shipping problem, but at least it’s giving something to the community. It also gives you some control over what content comes in, which will do something for the canon shippers and maybe make them more active.
