That she is, she was what got me into SM in the first place and I was fucking obsessed with her, too bad there isn't much material (official or otherwise) on her, I don't even understand why considering she's one of the most popular characters.
Both Takeuchi and the old anime really knew how to draw pretty girls, on top of that the fact she's a light-goth/light-hikki makes her personality attractive too for an /a/utist.
....and OF COURSE she's in love with some thin tall tanned athlete, fucking hell. Though I appreciate the "realism" of that, girls like her do fall/have a relationship with that kind of guy so I can appreciate the honesty, instead of putting her with some harem-anime manchild dumbfuck.

The "plot" of the season may be good but they fucking butchered the style, even Michiru's hairs are blue spaghetti noodles instead there.
I never thought I'd be indifferent to seeing Hotaru completely naked, but when it happened it made me really sad how a Sailor Moon anime could be so bad.

I've watched the original and I loved it. I'd recommend it to anyone, but people also really don't enjoy watching 100+ episodes of anime anymore...
season 3 of crystal is great so far, but the 90's anime and the manga/crystal anime is so different in storylines, it's really hard to put one over the other.
If you want to go with the OG anime, than feel free to do so. If you want to go with crystal s3, read up to chapter 27 of the manga then start it.

Everything is actually done right, from the animation, to the music, to the setting.

I really have a problem with Crystal because the VA for the characters are different. I am not saying that they are bad VA, just that you are so used to hear them nowadays that you get bored. The charm of the former VA for the 90 Sailor Moon is that many of them didn”t have many roles. Yuko Minaguchi nailed Hotaru, and also, Minako”s voice, Fukami Rica, is just unreplaceable. I love Ohara Sayaka, but the refined Ojou-sama that is Michiru had...something, when she was voiced by Masako Katsuki. And I just can”t stand Ami”s voice. Too sugary.
