That's to be expected though. Conan is way more popular than YGO in nipland. Hell the amount of theaters is 2x more for Conan as well so of course it would do much better. The advantage YGO has though is its much larger fanbase outside of Japan which is what will contribute a lot to its sales since the movie will be released internationally as compared to Conan which no one outside of nipland gives a flying fuck about.

I just want it to get a "proper" release in the U.S.. Not necessarily for the dubbed version, but I hope the DVD has the option for the original Japanese film. With Viz releasing the manga more lenient, I'd be sad if this was edited and released like the show even though it's in the original, continuity-wise.

Transcend Game was weird reading. I was fine with Drump, but the change in art seems like such a sudden change when you compare it to the last proper chapter. It's not nearly as 2-dimensional, which is pretty cool but also a bit sad because Takahashi was really great at mixing 2D and 3D parts without making them look weird, like Yugi's hair.

Yes. So no Duel Monsters World, Gozaburo committed suicide after Seto took over the company, Death-T and Monster World happened, and the Kaiba brothers weren't around for the World of Memories or the Ceremonial Battle. Those are the major things relevant to the film.
