I thought part 1 was pretty well liked. It's campy as hell and not too long. But it definitely doesn't immediately grab you like part 2 does.

Actually just picked this up and watching it slowly, an episode every day or two. Just watch the first episode and you'll get exactly what kind of show it is and you'll know when you're in the mood for the next.

Most people only like Part 1 in hindsight. New people watching/reading Jojo always berate Part 1, but the ending throws everyone for a loop and it makes you look back on it and realize how much better it was than they originally thought when they started.
