The thread it gets is enough as other anons kindly pointed. I find it one of the highlights this season but I don't find myself recommending it because most people need a cute girl or a meme character to keep them focused.

The narrator didn't make it clear why the colonel himself bothered to go all the way to France. My best guess it's to make sure the spy would go back to Japan before the alliance with Germany was revealed, but he could have sent anyone for that job.
