If he can just retain his sober style for the rest of what he does, I'll follow. What really grabs me about the Butcher is how his concise style really draws one into the heart of the story instead of going left and right about unneeded things for the purpose of "fleshing out". It's quite weird he's friends with Nasu, as I'd say one's style is quite opposite from the other.
Nasu relies too much on mundane aspects of narration like everyday life and romanticism (god fucking damn, I fucking HATED those incessant dreams in FSN) and his style comes off as crammed and fails to go for the pompous effect he strives to attain.
The Butcher is literally the opposite who goes for efficiency over style (which is probably why his works tend to rely a lot on the production team, which isn't a bad thing) and the narrative is quite brief, giving off a positively smothering aspect.
