They have not done a good job of converting the mystery gameplay into anime form. There's no feeling of "A-HA!" when you just have to wait a few seconds for Phoenix to figure it out in the show. There's no urgency either. Hell there's not even a mystery because they show you whodunnit like the game where the fun comes from finding and connecting the dots in-character.
