I like the story and fell of the show but certain aspects always keep it from perfection in my opinion
the only male character in the entire show is mute, and there is not a spoken male line in the whole show (both seasons) except for like 2 lines from hotaru's father in episode 12
not going to really rag on it too much for that, they can have as many of whatever kind of character they want, but having only 2 male characters in the entire show, and making one essentially mute and the butt of jokes just seems weird
it's like it was written by a /u/ fujoshi who couldn't stand to look at guys at all
I also wasn't a fan of how season 2 was essentially retelling season 1 from different viewpoints and with a few other stories, I'd rather see the next year, but maybe there wasn't the source material for it

I fucking love Tamayura, but More Aggressive was clearly a step down from the rest of the series; the "OMG isn't it profound that Potte's dad is dead" sappiness was severely overstated. Iyashikei almost always walks the fine line between comfy and cheesily sappy and T:MA fell way the fuck off the line. The movies have been a nice return to form, though.

Personally I don't mind sappy when it comes to interactions between characters (I didn't care for Aria's sappiness), so I still really liked T:MA.
