Thinking about at all the other anime shows based off mangas. That either end up with a ton of filler episodes or full filler seasons cause they catch up with the manga and the manga needs to stay ahead.
Or just plain ends, cause they catch up with the manga, and doesn't get renewed when the mangas have enough material for another season or two.Don't get me wrong, I don't mind filler episodes for shows, since that just means more stories for me to watch. What I do mind is where the fillers are placed. If they cut off in the middle of a story plot, then its annoying, but if its inbetween story plots then its okay.
Just look at all the shows that gets cut short while the manga continues and gains enough materials for one or more seasons.
Azumanga Daioh, Elfen Lied, Bleach, Index/Railgun, Upotte, Nichijou, K-on!, Soul Eater... to name a random few.

I hope not. The chances of it living up to the manga are slim to none and I don't think an animated medium suits the charm of the manga very well, especially not a standard broadcast length one. A few shorts of the most popular chapters could work but it's doubtful if the risk is worth it.
The charm of the manga is how it captures the innocence and enthusiasm of a young child and reminds you of a time when every day had the potential to turn into a mini adventure and when the little things we take for granted were new, at least to me. Not to mention the great facial expressions and great underlying humor.
