Why aren't nips making an entire anime in first-person?
You can actually self-insert for the whole duration and can adapt master pieces like g-senjou no maou and ever17
harder to do fanservice shots
They already did - the Hinako series, and it was practically porn.

Why does this thread pop up so often?
Is it just one guy who finds it hilarious?
They do sometimes, But the series end up being pretty shitty.
>EOPs think it's never been done before

There are anime in first person.
How come when someone makes a thread going "Why is there no ___ anime?" it's always about something that actually is an anime?
>>140209578
The ignorant ones are always the ones most likely to think that they are knowledgeable. There's even a scientific term for it, the Dunning Krueger effect.

It is because this thread, like those threads, are rec threads made by shitposters looking to do something while they are board or retards who are too lazy or stupid to use a search engine.
why is she in a washing machine?
Because that's retarded, retard
Kuroshitsuji had an OVA like this and it was so fujoshit could literally self-insert into the series.
it's dumb
just play superior VNs

It should be good if the MC's power is body/mind jacking and the result we see is the MC's view.
First-person view only when he is body/mind jacking.

>mind/body hacking
>with accurate POV
My body would never be ready
The problem with first person view is the lack of telegraphing.
When a person stretches out their arm in a particular direction, they will first turn their body a little move their eyes and finally extend their limb.
You know what they're going to do long before they're doing it. You are prepared for it.
When you can't see the signs, then even a normal-speed movement seems sudden. Fast movements look ridiculously fast.
When you're watching a scene from the perspective of one of the actors in it, it will be highly alienating. Remember, this is not the same as playing an FPS. In an FPS you don't need any telegraphing because everything your character does is initiated by YOU.
The only times first person is a good idea is when it's a passive character or when you are trying to make it a freaky experience such as in >>140212522.
