That's the Funi subs. The Daisuki subs actually translated that dialogue. Having watched both, and knowing some moon, I can safely say that both are pretty awful, but at least Daisuki doesn't leave huge gaps of dialogue totally untranslated.

I still have no idea what year there might start being peace. Jiro left he agency at year 43, and considering Jiro saves fuurota at year 48 means it's not going to end anytime soon.

Year 45 is also a completely empty year. I don;t think we've seen anything in it

>>
>>140192171
I don't see how it can't at this point. Granted the last couple years it seems like I've always had a show I love to death early in the year, and then suddenly something comes in during Fall and surpasses. Still, doubt anything can top these levels of JUSTICE.
>>
>>140197377
>I still have no idea what year there might start being peac

There is no peace. Basically the status quo reign and the superhumans are absorbed into the system and go away. Basically what the show is saying is that the past fantastical past leads into a mundane present like our own where the American-Japanese alliance is still there and the LDP rule.

> considering Jiro saves fuurota at year 48 means it's not going to end anytime soon.

See >>140195809

Year 48 is the end.
>>
>>140198046
If the ending was every superhuman or fantastical element just vanishing or losing their powers that'd be lame as fuck.
>>
>>140198313
I'd be okay with something more along the lines of them being integrated into society and accepted as being just as human as everyone else. There was definitely some set up for it to possibly go that direction this episode.
>>
>>140198313
I think it depends on how it's handle, it would be bad if it's abrupt but we could see how it naturally goes to that direction in a few episode, or maybe it just means superhuman disapear from scope and go into hiding.
>>
>>140198378
I would be okay with that, but if the ending was just "lol all superpowered people/supernatural beings/aliens/ghosts/whatever are ejected from the premises/depowered" that would be both incredibly lame and a cop-out on how they would affect the future of the world.

I need to go back and watch Jaguar's episode and the ending now.
>>
>>140198532
I feel like an ending like that wouldn't even fit with the show thematically up to this point. I just don't see Aikawa or Mizushima pulling shit like that after they've clearly put a lot of thought and love into how everything plays out and leads into the next event.

>Jiro literally manifests a fiery scarf that can protect him
My favorite anime is now referencing my favorite game of all time.

I was worried that season 2 wouldn't be as good as season 1, but these first two episodes have been literally perfect. I'm so fucking happy right now.
>>
>>140201379
People are theorizing its Jirou's blood that makes people unbelievably strong, but we really don't have a whole lot of info on it yet. The main point is that Judas is a mad scientist and we're not sure what he and Jirou are quite up too.

I also love the eyebag service this show has. Jirou, Raito, and Judas all look like they've seen some shit in multiple shots. Raito especially since he looked like he was on the brink for the entirety of episode one.
>>
>>140198313
We've seen the distant future and we already know there aren't really superhumans there. So either they show us why, or we see a different timeline from the one that ended in Jaguar's timeline.
>>
>>140201379
I'm 90% sure that was supposed to be Jiro's blood, given how the talk about Green's transformation later in the episode. Based on the date, it has to have been from the immediately previous month, so Jiro probably went in for a checkup and Judas drew his blood, or something.
>>
>>140201703
Maybe that's why Jaguar disappears in the opening, Jirou changed the timeline enough for him to not exist because everyone is a super human or something.

I really liked the whole reveal. Rainbow Knight was a human, the line between them is getting blurred (who knows what implications this has for Jaguar's timeline that we saw) and chief, the member of a "higher" alien race who wanted to use humans like tools, grew fond of them all and wanted to help them after the realization that the classifications they were all bound by earlier really don't exist.

>>140201379
It's Jiro's blood. It's all German, so the G is probably for Jiro, and Emi commented on Judas testing Jiro's powers out on Aki.

>>140202039

See, this seems a bit dodgy. How did Akita manage to convince his fellow gasbros to help him out so quickly? Did Akita really die, or is he just staying dormant waiting for the right moment to leverage himself over Jiro by threatening to unleash the beast within him?
>>
So I've been rewatching the first season because I've lost track of the show's running themes and the character's various idealistic standpoints. In the first episode, Akita theorizes that the reason the S-Planetarian was selling the scientist a way to feed them false information via the collimator was because there was an S-Planetarian base on Scorpio-X1 that the S-Planetarian might have hoped to draw Earth's attention away from. However, in the first episode of the Last Song, Washizu Yusei (the android cop) explains that the S-Planetarians have been wiped out but for a few remnants, the last of which is the one that Grosse Augen currently resides in. He mentions Scorpio-X1 as a trace of one of the solar systems that have disappeared because of the S-Planetarians, but doesn't say anything about whether an S-Planetarian base has or has not been discovered there. This might mean that there's an S-Planetarian base sitting on Scorpio X-1 unknown by the federation or, assuming that the base had already been exterminated, that the S-Planetarian in the first episode had some other reason to feed Earth false information and might possibly have been working with some other unknown force. Of course, it might just also be that the apparent base had been exterminated in the time in between then and Washizu coming to earth, which is some good five years. Do you guys think that this last one is the case and there's nothing to really read into, or that it might be one of the former and that this might end up holding some significance later on?
>>
How was the first season of this?

It looked good from the preview and such but I initially dropped it because I didn't like the cast aside from MC much and his character dynamic with everyone else didn't seem interesting.
>>
>>140207533
Seems more like Jiro killed them or knocked them out and Akita controlled them.
>>
>>140207533
>How did Akita manage to convince his fellow gasbros to help him out so quickly?
He didn't. He squashed their solid bodies, forcing them to possess the same body as him, then got Jiro to fry the three of them in the same body, thus killing/weakening the the other two.
>>
File: the bureau.png (2 MB, 1280x1440) Image search: [Google]
the bureau.png
2 MB, 1280x1440
Also, it's a pretty fucking neat that in the part of the S1 ED that show's the character's alliances in the different time periods, Akita slowly gets covered up by the post and in the next shot the post that he fades into aligns perfectly with Jiro's left arm.
>>
>>140208052
Spacemen work on a different time scale. Also, space is ridiculously huge. Akita, who was a spaceman himself might have thought the base of Scorpio-X1 to be still recent, even if that system was wiped out centuries or perhaps even millennia ago.
Silly nigh-immortal aliens with their skewed perception of time.
>>
>>140207533
He's till there.
>>
>>140208581
Symbolism everywhere.
>>
>>140208643
His power that will keep the great beast in check remains as a last gift. His consciousness is gone.

Of course, perhaps death in this case means that the personality as Akita is gone, and what remains is just a gaseous thing that one day will possess a new being or develop a different personality.
>>
>>140208628
Akita is a spaceman, sure, but he's clearly got enough of a grip of an earthling's timescale that I find it difficult to believe that he'd bring it up at all if he didn't think it was really recent and relevant. I can get behind him not being aware that he's misinformed, though.

He didn't even have to convince them much.

Even if they were alive there was only 1 place within the vicinity they could go now that their host bodies were destroyed, that being Jirou's locks, since Jirou was still alive.

It's a bit of an asspull, but since they had to die to do so, I guess it's plausible. Akita was doing it voluntarily, the others didn't have a choice, either disappear or disappear and leave a mark on the world.
