It's not like we don't have cute and moe characters in mecha, but they're usually autistic spergs, this cast however is pulled straight from a slice of life series and we don't have any of the usual self-righteous bullshit that permeates all the mecha series. They even have an airhead kyuuto gaaru as MC.

Its been used a lot in animes like aldnoah zero (for example), and it feels like this is sorta gonna follow the same path... I mean the mc is some cute dumb bimbo who happens to be a princess (apparently) and got her ass saved by some mysterious samurai that cut a mech with a sword just at the right time..... plus i wouldn't be surpirsed if she has some sort of special power or ability only she can use.... or there's a profecy she happens to be involved with or something
