I would have been fine with the transition had they not gone full sentai in just one episode. It adds a world crashing plot twist and then doesn't show the characters adjusting to the new world.
I wanted to see Gotou trying to adjust to finding out he was actually the delusional one the whole time, and the world worked the way Hazama thought it did. That was the biggest disappointment for me, and the reason why I dropped the show the next episode.

Hazama wasn't right thought. The world changed because of reasons, and then he was able to live his dream. The only thing Hoto was disillusioned about was Keit-Ai.
