Just started collecting manga. Post your collections
Manga is for plebs
Buy LNs
Not my entire collection. I have about twice as much, but I wanna get rid of a lot I don't care for anymore.

Just grabbed this, too.

>buying or reading English translated Japanese comics
You people should probably fuck off back to /co/. EOPs are not welcome here.
>>139834473
What if you're hybridized?
>>139834473
Good thing I'm an ESL
Also
>spending at least twice as much to import manga from Japan
Yeah no.
>>139829600
i'ts going to take like 7 years for one piece to be completely published in my country im glad im starting to collect it now
>>139829600
Good start, anon.

>Eden
Ahhh I feel your pain. Also had to slim my collection down just recently. After moving, and did an official count of my collection and somehow had over 1000 volumes. Decided to sell off/donate a bunch.
>>139832855
While I don't really care for the cover VIZ used, I'm eternally grateful this is now in English. Plus, the larger trim size and paper quality is a bonus.
>>139835032
>One Piece
>Panini
Am I high?
>>139835032
>be spic buying inferior shit made by italian cucks.
>in love with one piss.
Have my sincere condolences.
>>139835278
Yeah, I imagine the original Punpun covers are bit too minimalist to catch people's eye.
I've heard Eden goes downhill after volume 8 so I'm not too inclined to read the rest. Sidenote: Ajin's manga art reminds me a lot of Eden.
tfw Dark Horse just keeps not releasing Kekkai Sensen 8 and Drifters 4
>>139835630
Pretty much. They wouldn't garner nearly as much attention as the ones they're using now.
Not so much that it goes downhill (although it does), but more that Dark Horse essentially can't finish the series because the sales are so shit and the JP publisher won't allow them to release anymore.
>>139835748
>They're coming soon
>We promise
I keep waiting, and I keep bugging them and bugging people to bug them at cons to remind them to get on this shit already. BBB is done in Japan, and the anime was popular here, which led the sales of the manga to jump dramatically. I don't get it. Sasuga Dark Horse.

>all that loli

You will never be this good of a person. You will always repost other peoples photos.
You will forever be shit

>Eden
that's a bummer. This is a great article about Eden.

Go no room man, just sold 20th Century Boys and some Dragon Ball.
Mostly a /co/ reader so stuff is all mixed up. Top shelf stuff in that super blurry image is Yoshihiro Tatsumi releases by D+Q and Gundam Origin.
Did anyone fill out that survey Vertical put out today?
>>139837090
and stuff in a reading pile.
>>139837090
I never know what to put on their surveys since everything I would like for them to do not fit their criteria.
That said I did put down Flying Witch this time around since I would like to own it plus it's entirely possible since the manga is published by Kodansha in Japan
>>139837718
I'm not even sure what they can and can't license from anymore so I ended up suggesting two enterbrain titles that might end up getting cockblocked because YenPress and a Gundam title.
>>139837718
>since everything I would like for them to do not fit their criteria
Same here. There are lots of older manga that need more love but would never get scanlated.
>>139837090
>Did anyone fill out that survey Vertical put out today?
Yup. Put Dungeon Meshi, Tomo-chan and Danshi Koukousei on there.
>>139838113
More or less everything not from Shueisha, Shogakukan, and Gentosha (since Tokyopop somehow has exclusive rights to deal their licensing out).
Akita Shoten is no longer off the table, though I imagine they still can't get anything from SoftBank Creative/Flex Comics.
>>139836229
Does an eromanga usually cost the same as a normal tankobon?
>>139838549
I put Meshi too. Hopefully it pulls a lot of votes. Suggested Ran because I just want to see it in english and Gundam Otaku Girl.
Here's all the stuff I have right now
>>139837090
Aiura
Joshiraku
Koohii Dream
I'm deliberately choosing shit that have either no scanlations or dropped projects.
>>139838549
Fuck TP. Wish they'll just die for good. Wish Vertical will somehow get their stuff since Vertical actually give a shit about fans.
>>139829600
why collect something that you can get for free on the internet? having a physical copy only means it will deteriorate over time and you will constantly struggle to maintain its quality.
>>139839162
Reading an actual book is much much better experience than doing it digitally for a lot of people. Books can last an extremely long time and are cheap to buy, especially on the second hand market.
>>139838582
The standard for eromanga tanks is 1000 yen
>>139839162
I like building a collection, and reading on paper is much less eye-tiring than a computer screen
>>139839162
Entitled poorfag that glorifies piracy spotted. Reading a hardcopy is so much more satisfying. And many manga have nice production values and are a pleasure to hold and look at. I love pulling my favorite manga off my shelf and sitting down on my couch and relaxing while reading it. Much more efficient and comfortable than reading on a screen.
>>139838648
Oh Ran, good one. Didn't think of that at the time.
>>139838925
Eh, it's not like Gentosha has a whole lot going on in their catalog. Maybe a few decent series, but compared to even most other small pubs, they're pretty mediocre.
>>139839162
It's a hobby, anon. Some people like having the physical collection, or maybe they're reading it for the first time, or maybe they feel like supporting the creators? It differs for most people, I'm sure, but it's not exactly a process that should sound so elusive and mysterious to anyone.
>>139838582
No. Most manga tankoubon are 11.2 x 17.4 cm, and eromanga typically are printed at A5 (14.8 x 21 cm). The larger trim-size, plus a longer page count (~300 pages) and slightly better paper quality puts eromanga at around double the cost of your average manga.
>>139839660
>is much less eye-tiring than a computer screen
So much this. I have a tablet that I take to work with me at night, and I just read manga from it digitally. By the time i get home my eyes fill quite strained. But when reading in my free time around the house I read from my physical collection, and it's less straining.
