The hands look angular up close and lumpy from farther away. There's a shit ton of line breaks instead of simply varying the line thickness. The colors are all bright and desaturated. The backgrounds are blurred to a distracting degree. All of this is enough to give away it was produced by Kyoani.

Yamada is one of the better directors at showing character acting. But I really hope her directing style evolves because it's getting predictable. The closeups are irritating for how they always scream at you to pay attention to this little nugget of body language. And it feels claustrophobic when combined with the boke blur.
The directing from K-ON!! to the movie was literally perfect. No post-processing autism and the camera was put far away enough that you could observe everyone in the room. It wasn't tryhard.
