Nostalgia has killed Arc-V in every way imaginable. First with Crow and the movie budget, and now with Asuka/Edo/Kaito taking space of new interesting characters or reusing the old. They're doing the usual poor writing trope of throwing a bunch of new characters in instead of developing the old but here it's worse: they're hoping since they physically resembled well-liked past characters they won't have to try as hard to make them actually good.
So we end up with potentially good Arc-V characters getting pushed to the side in favor of hollowed shells of past heroes.
