Did you even read Kaze no Stigma? Kazuma's whole backstory was he was a peerless edgelord just like Nagumo after they killed his girlfriend; he acted pretty much the same way until he made his contract with the wind lord, after which he mellowed out a bit, then finally regained some normality once his brother and Ayano came into the picture.
In fact I am pretty sure the author received messages about it, since the only reason I made the connection at all was because he said something about it in one of the little "author notes" in one of the WN chapters.

I enjoyed his edgy antics and his complex about looking like a chuuni. He seemed like an actual fourteen year old given way too much power for his own good to me. Lava submarine felt like a huge shark jump at first but then I remembered this was a guy who built a railgun in the first dungeon and shit didn't really tone down after that.
To me its basically ended up as was Tenchii would be if Ryoko was the MC and could pull Washu science-magic.

Yeah ATG is grinding my gears with the introduction of new girls since author removes a certain logical sense of his desires. He tries to make MC devoid of attachment but all MC thoughts dwell on over flowery description of beauty and he always performs the action to gain their favour.

Basically, this is shit because it abandons its initial premise very quickly, which is the thing most people started reading it for.
That is to say, the mildly self-indulgent story of a guy who gets short-changed and abandoned in the Summoned To Another World With A Power stakes, then becomes an OP monster with gross-but-cool monster eating powers.
Instead, he becomes a beloved hero the instant he leaves the dungeon, the guy who killed him immediately becomes the slave of the actual villain rather than just being a Japanese-tier bully, the generic Good Guy stand-in hero turns out to be a possessive NTR moron (amazing), and random girls line up to slot themselves onto his dick with little to no development.
I rarely stop reading stories I've started, even when they become shit, but the moment I dropped Arifureta was when the MC tried playing the whole "Haha, I'll pretend to be a murderous bag of dicks so you can hate me instead of feeling sad", which made his loli teacher get super-wet for him because she immediately worked out the charade (via moon logic). It was trying to have its edgy cake and eat it to. You can be a hated villain who takes on the world's sins etc etc, /or/ you can be a beloved and compassionate hero who causes every female who meets him to soak their panties. Don't try to have your cake and eat it too, you just look retarded.
I appreciate that the guy didn't want revenge on his classmates (including the one who tried to murder him?), but why not make the vampire loli a cornerstone of the Demon King's barrier or whatever, so he becomes a monster fighting against the heroes to save her? My biggest concern with Arifureta is how utterly lazy the writing becomes. It's fine to decide MC can do literally everything, but the developments are handwaved and asspulled in a couple of lines and aren't really explored or justified, which breaks suspension of disbelief.
For example, one of the very first asspulls, the rail gun.
How did he start off designing it? What real revolver did he use as the model?
How did he decide on the optimum barrel length? Bullet shape and size? Quantity of gunpowder substitute? Rifling? Weight/power balance? Not told.
Were there any accidents or setbacks during the development and testing? We're not told.
Did he draw his design anywhere or was he relying entirely on memory to retain the whole design as it changed over time? We're not told!
The text heavily implies he never actually tested it against a monster, because the very next chapter the rabbit he kills is the first victim of the bullshit gun. How did he test his gun? How did he quantify the results so he could improve on previous revisions? We're not told.
How does he know that it's ten times stronger than an antimatter rifle? Has he ever fired an antimatter rifle?
In the span of one paragraph he just builds a gamebreaking gun with no justification.

The first dungeon set up the mood for the rest of the series, but the demon eating is hardly mentioned again and the tone shifts completely to standard harem building and everyone around him sucking his dick. Similar gripe with the harem itself. The indication for much of the series was that they would never take the harem too far, and that Yue was his one and only and he only held special feelings for her. It even became a running gag. They fuck regularly and while the other girls get jealous they seem to accept he's in a committed relationship. Suddenly at the end he fucks and wifes another 7 girls, including multiple classmates somehow and even his loli teacher.

It was nice when it was done in GunOta. At least shows the author knows absolutely nothing about guns but that they are cool, and actually helps develop the character a bit (through his decision making processes, how long he decides to work, how he copes with setbacks and people's reactions to setbacks such as blowing away his hand). Created a custom screen resolution and took screen shots using Greenshot.
And since there were quite some JPEG artifacts because they were stingy when it came to this LN I ran waifu2x's noise removal at the lowest possible settings over it.
Result looks pretty good as you can see. No artifacts and no blur. It perfectly removed the artifacts only.
