A big deal is that Evermillion appear to be a source of great power, and that many witches desire it. It seems Medusa doesn't actually want to steal power, she just is battle-hungry and wanted a worthy challenge of her full might. Remember that Medusa had been fighting with a handicap the entire time.

I had a thought this chapter. I think this necklace being the same as the one fake!Natsume gave them is a red herring since they're both memory flash drives. So, last year in December the author said that she was suffering from Bronchitis, according to her blog. But that was 4 months ago, and acute versions should have cleared up after 1 month. So either she suffered from chronic bronchitis leading to COPD (very horrible, and unlikely for such a young woman), or she was suffering from something else/had a 2ndary infection.
Well, at least she got back on her feet, as the next chapter comes out on May the 7th. So no hiatus for now.
