>didn't even finish a quarter of the shows I picked up last season
>this season started and I don't even know what's airing
I want to die.
Why is anime such a chore?

>chore
there is something called "drop"
>>139549010
Just focus on the good stuff. You're not an art critic, you don't have to watch every anime that winds up on Japanese television.

This anon gets it.
There's also thousand of anime from previous seasons that you can watch in place of the airing ones.

Why not spend time on a hobby you actually enjoy instead?
>>139550191
Sometimes people can end up taking their hobbies so far that they no longer feel any joy from them, but they can't stop either. It's probably a form of or otherwise related to addiction.

I was in that same state last year OP. Thankfully I found a show that reminded me why did I started to watch anime and that I should focus on my own enjoyment rather than finishing the seasonal crap like it's my second job.
I hope you will owe day stumble upon your own savior. Heads up.

90% of everything is shit. This applies to anime too. If you take 10 shows at random, chances are 1 is worth your time to watch.
>>139549010
Then stop watching any and just shitpost on /a/ like the rest of us.
