Toriyama can't into gains. When humans gains strength, the more they have, the longer it takes to lose, so world class weightlifters could go a few months without lifting and not notice a huge difference. The Saiyans are at a point where unless they do literally nothing but sleep at eat, they should practically never get weaker. Considering that Base Ultimate Gohan was 6000x Base Goku in the Buu Saga, even after 5 years of no training he should be far superior to Goku and Vegeta
