why does this anime have such low reviews?
>>139393367
people were expecting a lot of fighting and action. Not a guy who has to deal with a dying world who he's the cause of.

>a lot of fighting and action
there was tho
To be fair, there are parts of the plot that were left to the imaginations of the viewer so aren't that clear. I love it though. A definite Top 10 anime for me.

it was pretty good
depressing as fuck tho
>>139393367
I thought it was alright. As a Tatsunoko show, its unusually different.

Its got a really funky OP theme, that's for sure. I just wish there was actual animation in the OP.

no.

yes.
I love the desolate enviroment's design. It truly feels dead and decaying instead of just being empty.

My favorite episode.

DIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Threadly reminder Casshern has a 50% chance of being the father.

Isn't it sad, Dune?
>>139393367
Would have been better if it was less depressing.I can understand how rusty metal love didn't stop the ruin, but instead of villainizing himself he could have lived on with his nanomachine daughteru instead of running away from life and his dog and everything.
One of those series I really need to give a rewatch. I remember many episodes being really bittersweet or just plain sad, but the overall tone of the series somehow wasn't really hopeless despite the decaying setting.

Got really bored with it unfortunately, was never able to finish it. I've been meaning to take a look back at what I dropped and giving shows second chances. I think this would be a good one.
I feel like Braiking could've played a better role. He just existed to be smug but if you take him out of the show basically nothing changes.
NEE IMA DOUSHITE BOKURA UMARETA NO

If you were bored with it, then it probably wasn't for you. There was a plot there, but that's not what people remember it for. It was the atmosphere and art and music that really made it stand out.
Did Luna even have a viable cure? Her village of freshly not decomposing roombas was running on batteries and cat drugs.
I still remember that I wished Sophita to return later.Even if it meant witnessing her death.
>>139396451NEE HORA DOUSHITE BOKURA DEATTA NO
I remember how good it is hearing Toru Furuya as a protagonist again.
>>139396535
Boulden deserved a call back more than she did. Literally forgotten and left to rust.
We can all agree that this was the saddest episode, right?
>>139396636
Ouji'sdeath i found more sad
was depressing as shit and doesnt help that the first half was boring as shit also.
>>139396711
What about this?
>>139396785
Honestly, I think I liked the first half better. I'm totally okay with self-contained vignettes about people/robots trying to find life in a dying world, so I actually really liked the depressing as fuck first half. The second half was filled with plot which I honestly found less enjoyable than Casshern meeting random strangers.
I forgot how good the music was in this show.
Pretty fucking high potiential with this show, and it wasn't capitalized on completely, unfortunately. Above average for sure, but not top tier.
>>139397110
the ost and atmosphere alone make it top tier for me m8
It takes far too long to get to the plot. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, the first half of the series is more-or-less just vignettes about Casshern dicking around and encountering weird people. Problem is that they all say vague and inconclusive stuff about the world and its history. So you end up with like 12 episodes of "kinda faggy guy walks around in a kinda faggy world" before there is *any* real exposition.
