Why didn't they pick her for the Beerus team? She's not as strong as Buu by any means but they should have predicted buu would fuck up the test.

Androids are made with nanocells that can be strengthened with training, or something.
She can get stronger with training, but there's a limit.

Its not even close. Especially when he powers are 100% capped because she is artificial. So she can never get stronger than what Gero built her as. Which is like Super Saiyan 1.33
If they were smart at all, they would have revived Cell.
He was truly perfect. He could have done super saiyan god ritual to get to Goku's level, trained for 4 months in the hyperbolic time chamber to go golden too.
Then with those two forms combined he could be equal with Beerus in power, and then use the artificial sun to before Super Golden God Oozaru Cell to be 10 times stronger than Beerus (as the Oozaru power boost is 10x your max power)
And seeing how Whis is only 1.5 times stronger than Beerus (according to the cosmic scale that puts Beerus at 10 and Whis at 15), Cell would be at 100 on the cosmic scale, dwarfing everyone in the omniverse.

If you are gonna play that card, pure blooded saiyans have been hubrising and downfalling from the start of Z.
Cell wasn't obsessed with perfection, he was too arrogant to see that he could still improve himself. Narcissism was his downfall, not hubris. If he had trained for even a little while, who knows what he could have done?
Hell he wasn't even aware of the Hyperbolic time chamber, so he honestly couldn't even account for how the saiyans got as strong as they did to him in the 1 week span of time he gave them.
He can self Zenkai because of his Saiyan-Namekian DNA, so even when he puts himself in near death he just comes right now.If he trained even half as much as the Z fighters, he could have beat kid buu without even using the Spirit bomb (which btw he can use):

Doesn't make him any less capable. Given the fact that people like Beerus would be around he would have proper incentive to actually cooperate and train.
The same exact character flaws can be allied to all the people whos DNA he has. So you're not really giving a good reason why Cell couldn't just as well been revived or chosen via King Yema 1 day Free Pass bullshit.
