Seriously, never consider writing. You write boring characters, with boring traits, for an audience that will be bored to death with your boring writing. There's a reason why MCs have to be special, no wants to watch someone boring or average. People watch characters who are admired for their talent, skills and morality, not how identifiable they can be. I would rather watch a Mary Sue like Kirito than some Beta who still somehow manages to be treated with respect he never earned.
