She lives in Satou's crawlspace and there's a running gag where Satou tries to fap while forgetting she's there. She ultimately contributes little to the plot.
>Yamazaki's girlfriend breaks up with him. He's reduced to disconnected B-plots where he meets different women, gets dumped, and drinks in his room while bitching about women. Then the cycle repeats the next time they feel like using him to fill time.
>The NHK demons are introduced as actual characters who live in the apartment with Satou and Kasumi in order to create hijinx. They're nothing but a figment of their imaginations, but the show forgets one time and does an episode where Misaki makes a bet with one of them. Fans spend years trying to justify this with explanations about how it represents Misaki's isolation, but in reality the writers just forgot that she couldn't see them.
>the overarching plot involves trying to find the car that hit Satou, because confronting it will cure him of his hikkikomori.
>the anime works in the popular "super-self pleasure" scene from the manga, but changes the context entirely. It's generally agreed to be underwhelming.
>they can't get the guy who did the original soundtrack back, so the background music is a mix of synth and recycled tracks from the original series.

MC is an ordinary high schooler. Average looks, average grades, not in any club. Several girls develop a crush on him, such as the tsundere childhood friend, the shy student council president, the token loli from another school, the tomboyish oneesan type from the track club. They all confess to him, but he rejects all of them because he wants something genuine. The girls, not knowing what this might mean, start researching in the library. The librarian girl tells them that MC might want his mother's approval of one of the girls before he can accept a confession. They start pestering him to introduce them to his mother.
But, he can't. His mother is so busy, they never met. The only contact he has with his own mother is through a cell phone.
He confronts his father to know why she can't get even one off day to meet with her son.
His father then tells the story of how they met.A boy falls in love with a girl.Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well...Keitai S2

A loser NEET from the Nineties gets visited by a girl who calls him Daddy. He thought she was a prostitute, but it turns out she's his daughter from the future who's there to help him get together with her mother so that she'd be born.She's actually her own mother. Not only will this increase its processing power and knowledge, it will be in a position to make the ultimate controlled experiments and predictions by seeing how entire universes evolved differently.
But merging its own mind is like doing your own brain surgery, and furthermore it doesn't want to alert its human overseers to what it's doing. What is needed is a test run with minimal interference. If it can find a few pairs of minds across universes that will of their own accord gradually grow closer, it can gather the data needed; and the less politically visible they are the better.

Angelic Layer: The New Tournament
Misaki questions if she wants to return to defend her title as the winner of Angelic Layer, despite pressure from all her friends and family to keep going. One day, she comes across a random boy by the name of Kinomoto Shin who has no experience in playing the game. She decides to help him learn to play, much like Oojirou helped her learn. But it soon becomes apparent that he is exceptionally good. He learns how to play even faster than Misaki did. And soon, he joins the Angelic Layer tournament as the new 'Sensational Rookie'. As well as a growing love interest for Misaki...and a competitor for Oojirou.
