I think the problem is people dont seem to understand what the harem tag means. It only means that there are more than 2 characters showing some kind of intrest in one of the characters, usually the main one. Ranma, Monotagari and even Konosuba all classify as harem because of this. It doesent really matter how serious the harem aspect is. Its still considered harem if theres any kind of intrest shown, even as a joke.
For example if theres only 2 characters intrested in one character its called a love triangle instead of a harem. If theres only one character intrested in another its just a love story.

Megumin started out with a childish puppy love for Kazuma. It's likely due to the fact he fed her and gave her a roof to live under (yunyun always knew megumin would get involved with shady people if they fed her). Somewhere along the way this started to change into a deeper love for him; probably because he's the only person who ever tried to get her love of explosions, this founded the heart of the relationship, then it expanded from there.
Interestingly, Megumin and Darkness talk about Kazuma between themselves, mostly Darkness insulting kazuma while megumin being confused about his sexual harasment of her.
So if you keep the focus on the party, no it's not really a harem.
The trouble comes from the SIDE characters. Despite what Erisfags will tell you ERIS is not part of the kazuma harem. She likes teasing him and leading him around by the nose; Kazuma however has his eyes firmly fixated on Eris as the "main girl".
Yunyun and Iris both love kazuma and want the D, though Iris probably is a bit lonely, her interest in him always struck me as shallow. Yunyun just isn't used to someone showing interest in her or praising her. Since she's such a tard in her village, she's mostly a bullied and ridiculed figure, so Kazuma's mild acts of sexual harassment and praise of her personality really won her over.

I've tried and watched multiple harem manga and anime and the issue I have with the genre is that even though it's always obvious by the first episode who will win they dedicate so much time to potential coupling that will never happen. When you watch Die Hard you know John will win, but if half the movie was dedicated to showing better alternatives to him winning the end is much less satisfying.
Also, when you watch a dedicated harem you're signing in for that but when a show turns into one it's fooling you into a genre that just delays the things you were watching for.

You're asking for itOne day, while taking Megumin on her daily Explosion, Kazuma casts Explosion. Megumin's shocked, and asks Kazuma when/how did he learn Explosion? Turns out he successfully made dynamite and merely just casted Tinder, setting it off. He then poses and does a varitation of Megumin's line when they first met, pissing her off.
Vanir tells Kazuma's group that there is a way to attain infinite skill points; by intentionally getting level drained and leveling back up again. Kazuma's the only one that can feasibly do this due to his Adventurer class gaining EXP much faster than the girls Advanced classes. Its also at this point where Darkness/Megumin learn that Kazuma's from another world due to Vanir. Kazuma ends up going on an adventure with Wiz and Vanir deep in a dungeon to do so. Upon his return, Kazuma gives Darkness powerful new armor he found inside. Its jet black and looks like armor that someone serving the Demon King will wear.
Megumin tries to sleep with Kazuma again but Kazuma tries to chicken out due to the awkwardness living in the same place as Aqua/Darkness. Megumin will have none of that crap and kisses him full on the mouth and admits she loves him. Kazuma's shocked. Megumin tells him she wants to continue, but... She walks to his closet and opens the door, inside is Darkness spying on them.

He ends up back in the afterlife and ultimately uses his wish to go back to that world, but his body is totally gone, so Aqua/Eris makes a new body for him. Of course, he's completely naked and Eris freaks out

After talking to her, Darkness admits she likes him. Kazuma's touched and wonders whats with this cliched harem situation. Later that night, Darkness tries to seduce Kazuma, and Aqua/Megumin walks in. Darkness apologises to Megumin, but Megumin's glad she managed to tell him her feelings. Later, the on a mission, Megumin tells Kazuma that the life of an adventurer is usually short, that she doesn't want to die with regret, and asks to come to his room tonight. Later that night, Aqua catches Megumin going to Kazuma's room with her pillow, and declares a pillow fight VS Kazuma. Kazuma: "DAMN IT!!!!!!!"
