They're gassing colonies, not dropping them. And the Titans absorbed literally the Federation's entire actual military, they couldn't do shit. Hence why Bright ditched them to join the AEUG.

Because it's fun. I enjoyed watching it.
Lots of cool robots, great music and visuals, Kamille is an entertaining main character. And it takes some nice moves as a sequel to 0079 with depicting the Earth Federation after the OYW and introducing the Titans and Neo Zeon. Sure it has some annoying characters, but it's never completely unbearable aside from Katz.
The dialogue is fine and the plot is easy to follow unless you're braindead. While not as good as 0079, 0080, and Turn A, it's still one of the better Gundam series.

I´m with you OP. It astonishes me how gundamfags defend this crappy show so much. Tomino can´t write for shit. Maybe if I was a little child it might have entertained me. But watching this as an adult was so cringy. He has some interesting ideas, unfortunately he just can´t execute them.

I remember some threads long ago on /m/ in which it was explained why the odd type of dialogue in MSG and Zeta was taken from some type of Japanese classic theatre style that Tomino really liked.
Part of that style is to exaggerate people's emotions. Considering Japanese society works with hiding emotions, I suppose this type of drama would come off as somewhat cathartic.
That being said, Tomino mostly tones it down midway, with Reccoa and Katz being the biggest retards, and thus it felt so fucking good when they died.
Retards in Gundam (and Sunrise shows in general) these days tend to get a pass more often than not.
