I really am giving up on Berserk. No author goes this often on hiatus with no response or any sign of activity whatsoever. I know that his pissing loli manga was an attempt of his to stop doing Berserk, but it would have gotten a better reception if he actually ended the damn thing.
Maybe he just wrote himself into a corner and does not know how to get out.

I feel like it's pretty obvious what's going to happen. The behelit
(bechii) is Gut's. They're designed to come into the hands of those
who are meant to use them; that's why the king's egg came back
to Griffith just before the eclipse. The only problem is that Guts lives
outside the laws of causality and fate. He was meant to die in the
eclipse but didn't. Now it's going to be his free will that decides if he
uses the behelit or not instead of fate. He's going to realize he needs
the power of an apostle to defeat Griffith, and then have to chose
between his party and his goals, just like Griffith did.

I want to talk about seriously about Berserk's future.
Berserk as we know it, serialized monthly on Young Animal with art and story by Kentaro Miura, will never end, it's just impossible.
So the question is: how can Berserk end?
-If Berserk went back to its original biweekly serialization the manga could probably end (this will never happen. Miura can't possibly do it).
-If another artist (much younger than Miura) took over the artwork duty the manga the could end (could work for both biweekly and monthly).
-It could also end as a novel, but I don't really want to think about that possibility.

Omg I can see it getting the game of thrones treatment, they make it a hbo live action show, the directors talk to miura ask him how he wants to end, so they keep making seasons, eventually they catch up, butcher the source material, and Miura will die, the show will end and we will sit there wondering wheither it was the ending we would've gotten or what we deserved

I forget which mangaka it was, but there was one who did everything themselves because they didn't know about assistants and thought having trouble meeting deadlines was just because they weren't working hard enough. The editor finally realized (after several volumes) what was going on and got some hired.
