The anime they were working for wasn't precised though. There is a small chance that it was for AoT S2 or Mahoutsukai.
Just saw the PV and instantly thought Edo attack on titan Snowpiercer with a mix of zombie,whose's to say it will actually be good we'll just have to see.
So how is Amazon involved with this? Are they part of the production committee or did they just buy the worldwide streaming rights and that's it.
It's probably going to be the best looking episode of Spring 2016, but I'm not sure of the allowing episodes.

Not sure if those are two separate scenes with reused animation (sasuga WIT) or if they drastically changed it between trailers (the head of the kabane was redrawn).

Sounds pretty neat actually, and doesn't really seem like a Shingeki clone just from preliminary views. Plus it has a big budget and a lot of the character designs look great.
