True, but you can get some fairly rad guns on collection and sporting licenses.
Like, you can get an MP5 carbine, with a stock and everything, and it's a "Kurtzwaffen", they differentiate between long arms and "short" arms, like handguns and semi-auto versions of SMGs and stuff.
In the US, something like pic related would have to either have a long barrel, or not have a stock, lest it require special paperwork.
They're of course not ideal, not by any means, but I don't think there's anything that stops you from having a crunked out Beretta pistol as long as you have the licensing.
