The second panel today with Satou disclosed some more stuff.
They're indeed making a midquel manga. One of the revealed panels showed that Favaro does not have the tail. The magazine, Cycomi, is made for online and mobile.
There's going be six-part short anime that'll air (or streamed maybe) before the main anime and goes into the events during those 10 years as well.
Bad guy is king's son, somehow incredibly strong.
Rita has grown a bit, because she's a zombie (sounds like "zombie dakara" is the explanation to a bunch of things this season too).
