Don't start with Karajan, never listen to anything conducted by him, ever. He ruins Tchaikovsky, he conducts Bruckner too smooth and suave, which produces some nice orchestral sounds but has no bite or impact. Generally in his symphonies, Bruckner is a very spacious composer and you'll find that different interpretations can handle that space differently. but there's no doubt that they're all long in their uncut editions.

One thing I would have liked changed in Gaim would have been introducing the Ryugen Hell form much earlier (like around his confrontation with his brother). I think not introducing it failed to highlight how much of the final Overlord episodes was Micchy self-destructing and going off the cliff instead of building up to a further final conflict between him and Kouta like many thought at the time. And it would have explained stuff like him beating his brother or even Kaito and Kouta.

Yeah I honestly never got the big deal for this show. It had some interesting ideas in it but it's frankly one of Madhouse's most inconsistent looking shows, the way it handles exposition and overall pacing is incredibly awkward and the music is just dreadful really. It ended up just kind of average for me which is still better than a lot of recent stuff but it also had a ton of problems, some typical of anime, some kind of specific to the show itself.
There's a ton of stuff that's supposed to look or sound objectively good according to the community that just kind of doesn't for me or at least as much as people like to insist though so I just chalked it up to being one of those sorts of things.
