Even though Shaft works are supposed to be "visual" i don't find them aesthetically pleasing at all. In fact i had to stop watching monogatari at like episode 10 because the whole visual composition was too grating for me to look at. Same with Hidamari. Only Madoka was actually watchable in my honest opinion.
