I feel like this show pumped every trope and cliche they could find into it, in spite of lacking both the plot and the cast to support even the most common ones. It really does feel like a middle schooler or high schooler took every idea they liked even a little bit from their favorite manga and tried to make a coherent story out of it.

It's actually not as edgy as I or many others thought it to be. That person wondering if it gets to Deadman Wonderland levels, it doesn't. The drama gets silly and ridiculous though.

Well, actually, the Knights of the Round were all resurrected, so it's not as bad as it was, at least. But now Dorothy's dead, Arthur's evil, and he's worn out as fuck after taking back the weapons he gave to the six gods, and the World Council hates him (probably). He's still a sad sack, but at least the Knights of the Round aren't dead.
Speaking of them though, I'm sure Arthur's daughter being alive now, along with Lancelot, would play a big part in season 2's bringing Arthur back to the good side. Well, the whole Knights of the Round as well, I guess, since they were his friends/subordinates after all. Santa would probably be revived/turn out not to be dead, too.

This was the most disappointing thing. They each dedicated their lives to reuniting with a special person. Then when they're right on the threshold of the Gate and ready to make their dreams come true Ginji and the key-child, with a single sentence each, convince them to turn back. Six episodes of struggle evaporates in a mere moment and the only thing that changes in the end is that their fight has led to the supposed deaths of some of the people they were so vehemently chasing after. And apparently they're fine with that.
The same goes with Arthur, I suppose. He finally gets the chance to break free of Loki's curse and he rejects it. Why? One could make an argument about character development for the main trio, but Arthur just sat there on his throne for half the show.
Please tell me I've lost some important bit of detail among all the conceits. I expected so little from the finale but was still let down. What was the point? What the hell was the point in any of this?
