The thing is, according to a message on I've Sound's website, she had been considering retirement since at least 2014, so even if Index III or even an Index NT anime were made, she probably wouldn't stick along for too long, and those would just delay the inevitable.

Usually info for new LN volumes shows up on dengeki's site. They have festivals in the spring and fall so that's when to look out for a potential new season. The rest is just speculation on his part along with stuff from the anniversary event 2 years ago.
Also you better read the LN, you'll probably want to start on volume 14 which is the first part beyond the anime. And make sure you remember the goon from the very last episode of index 2, they handled that poorly and he becomes important in volume 15.
