I'm a horrible person because this thread irritates me for the wrong reason.
Regardless, a non-localized (=literally translated) pun is a shit stain. A comedy that draws its humor from its puns is no longer a comedy when you have removed all the puns. I am not sure what exactly you want the subbers to do. Teach you Japanese?
