'Hoshi to Pierrot' is the name of the cafe they go to from time to time, where the aged hippy plays various records and gives them life advice. That CD collections the music played in those scenes.
Fun fact: It's also the real-life cafe/bar in the real-life Tamako's Market, aka Demachi Shotengai in Kyoto.

I wrote and sang lyrics under the pseudonym Cage North, in a "crooner" style reminiscent of The Righteous Brothers, for a song which appears to play from an old vinyl record in the first episode the animation.
