that's only because that's the way Toei's used to drawing Kid Vegeta. The fact that Super acknowledges Jaco and Tights from Galactic Patrolman (to which Minus itself was the prelude as the end has Jaco following Goku's pod to earth) and the fact that Gine is already appearing in games should have told you that Toei and Bandai don't give any special fuck about Father of Goku or any of the movie stuff they've produced just to rake in extra DBfag bucks. If slapping Broly and SSJ4 in the same game as Super Saiyan God and Beerus will make money, they'll do it, without giving fuck all about any consistency. Anything storywise besides Toriyama's canon is just Toei produced fanficition, even if it has some designs Toriyama concocted because they paid him to. Any future material in Super regarding Bardock or the U6 Saiyans will follow Toriyama's blueprint set up in Minus and in whatever Toriyama has Vegeta and Cabba reveal from here on out, just stop fighting it.

It's not a matter of what I like or don't like. You need to face facts. Not created by Toriyama=not canon, unless Toriyama himself says otherwise.
Tree of Might, Broly, Lord Slug, Cooler, Father of Goku have never been anything more than possible side stories resting in a canonical limbo. I liked Father of Goku, but it never canon to begin with. The only reason Toei even continues to acknowledge any of that "officially produced" crap is because it can make money off pandering to fanboys by inserting fan favorite characters and designs into licensed products to sell. It's practically on the same level as the old Star Wars Expanded Universe, except instead of being paved over by the new owners, it's being paved over by the original creator and the producers at Toei don't care cause they'll still make money by acknowledging both when it's convenient.
