Rakugo, Shirayuki and Grimgar have some really good visuals too, though Grimgar has some shit animation segments at times. I hardly even notice Kyoani's great visuals anymore because they always have good art. Maybe if they did something like Nichijou again to shake it up

In Bokudake there's less variation obviously, but the iconography and framing work really well to service the story. I would put it above it. Nevertheless I'd say PW is up there, but it really excels on color direction.

Probably meant color palette. Phantom World colors are very saturated and contrasted. They mostly use violets and very deep blues with some green(ish) here and there.

It seems every episode has this random unique animation style that's almost unrepeated after that particular episode ends. I didn't see as much CGI as it was earlier in the show, the fourth had its speciality during Reina's scene where she hovers between the real and the phantom world, the sixth had lots of random bright colours as well as that overly smooth short mushroom animation, the seventh had increasingly random montages and backgrounds as they ascended closer to the mind of that reality influencing cat phantom.
