Shimoeta is one of the few animes were you don't really lose content by watching it censored and that is because it was made with censorship in mind, not as a way to sell more BDs but as part of the joke

In America, all censorship is voluntary, so you'd have a point. In Japan though, censorship is mandated by law, so they didn't really have a choice.
