Try to stick it out. I just finished it recently and loved it. It does take a bit to really get going, but I'd say it's worth it. Lotsa set-up in the first 6-8 episodes but it starts to improve afterward.

No, it gets worse. First episode was the best because Hiramatsu was Animation Director but the rest is shit. Read the manga which is masterpiece.
