The way I see it one of three things will happen.
Yes the cg may suck but it will follow the mangas story to the letter especially since its confirmed for a tv series which is better suited to follow the manga than a movie trilogy. And theyre doing the black swordsman and conviction arcs which were god tier. On top of that they might do a god tier OST(hopefully with something from susumu hirasawa) and have great seiyuu seeing how berserk is loved enough that it would warrant at least that much. In fact Id guarantee susumu will work on it. Hes been in every berserk related media to date. Even the dreamcast game. Even the movies(He did the opening).
Or its gonna be a mess and a cheap cash grab guaranteed to sell because it has berserks name and guts' face but it will fuck up in an entertaining way. Like the way the old anime dub had a million gokus everywhere. Or they might do something silly like make rosine a christmas cake for censorship.
Or its gonna be just fun to shit on by itself and it will spawn memes to rival baneposting.
Either way its gonna be entertaining and /a/ will most definitely watch it at some point. That much is guaranteed.

CG is shit, or at least shit in Japan, but I look forward to watching something Berserk related. Conviction is my favorite part of the series, so there's that.
At this point, my only hope is that some time in the next decade, Berserk is finally completed and plans for a well done anime come together. Unfortunately, I feel like all Berserk fans are doomed, and Miura is probably going to die soon.

Trailer says otherwise. All theyve shown are shots of guts as the black swordsman and key scenes from the conviction arc, the red lake. The slogan also keeps saying sleepness nights begin again which is pretty much living with the brand.

I doubt berserk is popular enough that it could be considered a cheap cash grab.
But what can I say, I will watch every last second of berserk they will serve. Even if the animation will be complete shit, I will most likely still enjoy it. I have rewatched the movies some time ago and they are very inconsistent with animation, but if it could pull of the kind of cg/drawn blend they did on the best parts, it would be magnificent. vid rel

The black swordsman arc (which they are apparently going to cover, although the armour Guts is wearing is from mid-conviction) doesn't have full scale battles like Golden Age did, so hopefully it will be a less straining on the budget, allowing them for better animation.
