If you're a wage slave you could be purchasing official products, renting a seedbox, donating to fansub groups and scanlators, taking an active role in private trackers, etc.
If you're a NEET you could be volunteering with a fansub group (timing isn't difficult to learn), learning Moon to help with translations, etc.
Or you could just be a leech for the rest of your sad life.

I don't know off the top of my head how much money I have sent Japan's way over those years but it's definitely north of 5k. Yes I work and actually that isn't a terribly huge amount to me considering all this time passed; my fucking car is my money pit.
