Not cancerous but not good for animations - lots of artifacts on every setting combination (unless they made some great udpdate, I haven't been using it since about June 2015)
Although it's quite good for live action movies since there's so much detail that artifatcs aren't as noticeable.

it's shit don't bother, most anime have less than 12 drawings per second (for 24 frames)
when you scale that to 60 frames, that makes 36 generated (poor quality) interpolated frames, with still 12 actual drawings, so a bit more than 24 if you count the repeating ones
all in all you're watching more shit than drawings

60 fps is 150% more than 24, for 36 more frames per second, 2160 more per minute, and 51840 more frames per 24 minute episode than the usual 24fps. Meaning 24 fps anime has a lot of missing frames comparatively, and thus worst bitrate. You can't argue with the hard numbers.

It depends from quality of animation. Poorly animated will look even worse. Good animated will look even better.
