not sure of the episode, but EVA cells that are not iconic scenes sell for around 30 - 70 bucks. if here if here eyes where open you could get close to 100.

theres a guy on ebay thats trying to sell a cel from your same scene. hes trying to get 275 for it. no one will buy it at that price. id say 120 bucks tops. since you can get cels from japan for about 100 bucks with shipping. and they are better scenes than the on you have.

yeah i know. most of the ebay cells are repo. all of mine are from japan with certificates from the studios.
really hate how people will get ripped off because they dont read the FAQ section on ebay. most are repo and hand painted in south america.

Cels are usually a far bit cheaper than that, unless it's Evangelion or Ghibli or something like that.
I've been getting CardCaptor Sakura cels from Mandarake, usually $15-$100 depending on the quality (on/off model, eyes open/shut, background included, etc). On the other hand, they just had a nice quality frame of Rei slapping Shinji with a price tag of something like $800.

It's a clear, on-model body shot of Asuka from Evangelion, that alone will make it worth quite a fair bit. But her eyes are shut, it'd be worth way more if they were open. Cels are collectors items, there's really no set price/valuation scheme and prices can vary wildly. But I could agree with that being worth up to $100, assuming it's legit.

No, it's not. It's a douga, the lineart from which a cell would be copied and painted if cels were still used today. Now instead it's scanned into the computer and colored digitally. There is no such thing as cels for anime made post~2000 or so.

They're collectors items, so stores that specialize in used/collectors goods are probably the best bet. Auction sites/houses might work as well. Just be careful not to get ripped off or get a fake.
Mandarake has a decent amount for sale usually. They also sell storyboards, settings materials, and other production materials from shows old and new.
