The first episode held a lot of promise, and genuinely served to subvert a lot of shit we come to expect from most super powered anime. The main character was an edgy retard, but he got punished for all of the shit he pulled in the first episode, which was genuinely refreshing to me. The characters seemed interesting and I really wanted to see more of it. It started losing me by the third episode , however when they really tried to force the drama in typical KEY fashion.
Even though it was trash I genuinely thought the second half of the show was at least more entertaining than most of the first half, baring the first episode. It was batshit insane but I can't exactly say i knew where the hell it was going to go each episode. The last episode of the series was so hilariously paced I'd recommend watching the whole show just for that whole train wreck.
Also, even if she lacked development, Nao was a cute girl, and I wish she was in a better show.

I liked what they were trying to do with the last episode, don't get me wrong. I mean there were a lot of issues I had with some of the writing in the second half, but the concept of the last episode really worked and could have been an interesting second season for the show. If it was paced better and not a single episode I think it could have worked... With a bit of tweaking of course. I think that's what really gets me about this show. It was a train wreck but it had elements of a really good show buried deep inside of it.
The threads with this show, at the very least, were some of the most entertaining I've ever had while watching a weakly series, hands down. By far made it one of the most memorable things that season, even that year.

I actually viewed the show the same way as you. The last episode wasn't even THAT bad. It was rushed as fuck and would've benefited a lot if they expanded it to 2 or 3 episodes, giving Nao development while she lives a normal life.
