I love the design of the buildings and the worshipers, very cool looking.
It was pretty cool, I definitely enjoyed it. Not super memorable though, I guess that's cause it's a short music video but I can definitely think of more interesting ones. Still pretty good.

The music did not suit the tone of the beginning whatsoever. They should've had the song start later on. Also, I don't get why there were different timelines showing them failing at rescuing the angel. All in all, it was pretty weird and didn't feel like Ghibli but I liked it.
It was actually the first bit of Ghibli I ever saw. My dad downloaded it off of newsgroups back in the day, like 1996. I was four.
He completely forgot about it and I couldn't find it for years.

It's the best when you're introduced to anime through parents because they usually show the older stuff. My dad got me into Patlabor, Macross and GiTS when I was 9. He never let me watch South Park or any of the 'cool' movies that all my friends watched like Starship Troopers or The Blair Witch Project, but apparently watching a naked cyborg woman having her arms ripped apart or some guy's face being blown apart by gunfire was a-ok.
Loved the song, and the video was pretty nice.
Definitely not thought provoking like you'd want, but still a beautiful scene nonetheless.

My old anime club used to end every weekend marathon we had with this. Exhausted and sleep deprived and having had seen it too many times, still it always made me happy. It helped that it was in a movie theatre.
As for the tone and feel of the piece, it's all over the place and has the usual ghibli tropes. Still, it's beautiful and evocative as a good music video should be.I never cared for the song though
